It’s crazy that we need tips for interacting with a cop like it’s a wild animal.
So I was recently pulled over and notified the Trooper I was carrying. He responded I know and if I don’t show him mine, He wouldn’t show me his. Now I have 17yrs of Law Enforcement experience, and have done thousand’s of traffic stops, this is the best response I have ever ever heard. I didn’t have a problem. Big thanks to the Texas Trooper that told me that. Huge respect for his response. Wish I had heard this while I was a traffic cop. It saved all the other questions, like where is it? Telling the person to keep there hands visible and always worrying where is the gun or pulling them out and disarming them, something I was NEVER a fan of. He made his point clear from the fist few words we exchanged. Good job Texas Troopers!!!!
